Thers are shots of the locashion for my soot with out the carictors
As well as being the locations, these places inform us about the characters as well.
The first 3 images convey the drunkenness and excess of dwarven behaviour. The first 2 images convey the feel of the characters more, but the 3nd has a more off kilter feel to them, which is what I desired to produce. Unfortunately, there is a large tree which in my opinion, shouldn't be there.
The building in these 2 photos, convey a religious and romanticised architecture associated with clerics and paladins. However, this picture also shows the modern infringing on their way of life on the left of the photo.

photos relating to what was discussed in seminars
we were asked to find an image in a book from the library take a picture of said image and find real-world equivalence things that we could link back to the image below you'll see my attempt
we were split up into groups and asked to walk five minutes in a direction we'd never travelled before turn and walk five minutes in another direction when we reached our final destination we were to pick a colour( I chose white I know it's not a real colour) and take pictures of said colour in creasing sizes these are the images I took on my phone unfortunately my phone died I used one of the people I was travelling with camera and he emailed me the images I took unfortunately lost email so these are the only two I still trust me there were more and if find them I will put them back in
My Influences and Research-Exercise 1
Some things that
influenced me before my research are World of Warcraft, Dungeons and Dragons,
Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. These books films and games have a strong
influence on fantasy as a genre.
During my research I was shown a display by David Gregory, a local photographer from Blackpool. His work was entitled mirth folk.
I contacted David by e mail and asked if I could use his work as part of my blog, along with being able to use a quote to express what influenced his work.
He replied…
A quote from David
'What inspired me was simple curiosity. I am interested in people that don't comply with what is regarded as normal, so anyone with unusual hobbies, interests, pass-times, jobs... what have you. I'm interested in what makes some people turn away from the popular and seek out something else. I'm also interested in escapism and what causes it, and have been reading a great deal about globalisation and how it causes people to be dissatisfied with their lives, and seek to separate their every day lives from reality as a result'North West based photographer, currently living in Blackpool
My concept-Exercise 1
The concept for my work is the juxtaposition of fantasy and
reality. My ideas to take fantasy races and place them into a setting
that feels right for them but somehow wrong at the same time. My work would be
portraits.eg
. Drunk dwarfs behind a club sitting on discarded barrels and kegs.
. Druid elf sitting beneath or by a willow tree with a demolition site behind him or her.
.Water spirit by a man-made pond or canal.
. Imminent confrontation of a werewolf and vampire waiting at the lights at a pelican crossing.
. Tiefling rogue sitting on a bench of a public street.
. Human paladin or cleric standing by the church or church like structure.
. Half orc by a boxing ring or at the gym lifting weights.
